Why do I need a second opinion?
Asking for another opinion is very common within both NHS and private healthcare. You should not feel concerned about causing offence. How to pay for your Second Opinion
For patients with Private Medical Insurance
If you have private medical insurance, please check with your insurance provider to confirm if your policy covers Second Opinion appointments.
For self-paying patients
Our self-paying fee for a Second Opinion appointment with a Consultant Medical Oncologist or Consultant Clinical Oncologist is £350.
Our self-paying fee for a Second Opinion appointment with a Consultant Cancer Surgeon is £275.
