Professor Elinor Sawyer is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital and is Professor in Oncology at King’s College London. She trained in clinical oncology at University College London, Royal Free and St Thomas’ Hospitals. She obtained her PhD in molecular genetics of cancer at the London Research Institute.
Professor Sawyer’s clinical practice and research are focussed exclusively on breast cancer. Her research interests are genetic predisposition to breast cancer, particularly lobular breast cancer and pre invasive cancer (DCIS and LCIS), and identification of biomarkers that predict progression of early breast cancer.
