Special interests

Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma

I specialise in the treatment of patients with Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I was educated at Cambridge University and University College London, followed by training at the Royal Marsden, University College London and Great Ormond Street hospitals. Awarded an MD in 2000 for my research into immunotherapy of lymphoma, I was appointed consultant haemato-oncologist at UCLH and honorary consultant at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in 2002.

I am the Pathway Director for Haematological Malignancies for London Cancer which covers North Central and North East London as well as West Essex. I am also the lead clinician of the UCH MacMillan Cancer Centre which opened in 2012. In addition I have been a member of the British Committee for Standards in Haematology, and medical advisor to the Lymphoma Association. Between 2004 and 2008, I chaired the North London Cancer Network’s lymphoma tumour board and am now a committee member of the National Cancer Research Institute’s lymphoma study group and the chief investigator of an international study in non-Hodgkin lymphoma as well as a national study in Hodgkin lymphoma.
