Dr Anne Rigg is a Consultant Medical Oncologist having studied medicine at Imperial College, London and also has a BSc in psychology. She trained in medical oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Hammersmith Hospitals and was awarded a PhD after research into the molecular genetics of breast and pancreatic cancer.
Dr Rigg was appointed as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospitals in 2005 specialising in the treatment of breast cancer. She also practises at King’s College Hospital and is the Lead for the systemic treatment of breast cancer in south-east London. Dr Rigg is the Head of Medical Oncology at Guy’s and St Thomas and Chief Investigator and Principal Investigator of numerous breast cancer clinical trials. She became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1994 and was elected as a Fellow in 2009.
Dr Rigg specialises in the management and treatment of patients with early and advanced breast cancer with chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and targeted therapies.
