The Need for Speed?

Time may sometimes be a crucial factor in your cancer journey, but is usually a lot less crucial than most people imagine. Tumours can occasionally grow with astonishing rapidity. Most develop over much longer periods.

If your diagnosis is of a cancer that could grow rapidly, it will be advisable for you to pass through all the stages of investigation with great efficiency and to start receiving treatment as soon possible thereafter. Better therefore to have a diagnosis confirmed and to start treatment without delay. Holidays, business commitments, meetings and other lesser priorities should wait. In most cases the growth is slow and time taken for investigations is not crucial. However, we know that this time of uncertainty is very difficult to bear and we therefore always try to get all the investigations done as soon as possible so you know your treatment plan with minimal delay.
