Skin cancer is one of the most common cancer of which there are several different types. the three major types of skin cancer are Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Malignant Melanoma.

The cancer usually forms in the skin that has has been exposed to sunlight, however, it can occur anywhere on the body.

The patient’s treatment is dependent on the type of skin cancer and how advance the cancer is including the age of the patient and their general health.

When a diagnosis is confirmed, decision about the treatment plan is discussed with the patient and our specialist multi-disciplinary team, which may involve chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.

Our Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT) of specialists meet on a regular basis to discuss and carefully review individual cases and second opinions referred to them from all over the world. Having considered all the evidence, they independently provide the most appropriate treatment plan followed by a written report for each patient.

Medical opinion from an MDT provides referring doctors and patients with valued reassurance and peace of mind about the best way forward.
