LOC rated 'outstanding' by CQC

"Staff across LOC sites are thoroughly deserving of their outstanding rating.

They should be proud of themselves, and held up as an example of best possible care and treatment of patients with cancer."

Nicola Wise

Head of Hospital Inspection at Care Quality Commission (CQC)

We are focused on individual patient needs

The LOC is not just about cancer treatments. We also offer all patients wider physical and emotional support. Our aim is to help you stay strong, combat side effects and help you through the difficult stages of treatment and recovery.

Cancer Treatment

Our team of specialists will work together with you to develop a personalised treatment plan that is tailored to you, your unique needs and diagnosis. We take an integrative approach to cancer care that supports your physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

For current LOC patients, you can contact our 24/7 support line on 0207 317 2510 if you’re feeling unwell or experiencing any treatment-related side effects.

When starting treatment, you will be given an alert card with this number, should you need it. An experienced oncology specialist nurse will assess your symptoms and make a plan for your ongoing care.

The LOC support line is available 24/7. From Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, call 0207 317 2510. Out of hours Monday-Friday 5pm-9am, and all day weekends and bank holidays, please call 0207 317 2510 and select option 2.

Clinical Trials

Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) works closely with clinical investigators to develop new and innovative cancer treatments and is the first trials unit outside the NHS to offer new anti-cancer drugs in clinical trials.

Second Opinion

If you have a diagnosis of cancer, whether or not you have started treatment, we can help you feel confident that you are getting the very best treatment options available to you.

Cancer Support

We offer a wide range of supportive therapies to help you and your family before, during and after treatment. We can provide much of our wellbeing support virtually, including webinars on physical and emotional wellbeing, virtual support groups and exercise classes and guided self-care sessions with our complimentary therapy team.

Esther's Story

'My first thought was, we're not going to get this checked out because we're right in the middle of Covid, and it's probably nothing'.

Cancer treatment during COVID-19 can be a daunting prospect, but hasn’t stopped at the LOC. Esther shares her breast cancer journey at Leaders in Oncology Care after finding a lump in her breast during the Coronavirus lockdown.
