Dr Michelle Kohn MB BS, BSc, MRCP

Dr Kohn is a specialist advisor in integrated and supportive cancer care, developing research, practice and delivery in this field.
She qualified in medicine at University College and Middlesex School of Medicine, London, with a distinction in pharmacology and therapeutics, and went on to work in the development of clinical trials.
After further medical specialisation and training, in 1999, Dr Kohn was appointed as Medical Advisor to Macmillan Cancer Relief, where she worked on various projects in comprehensive cancer care.
She was subsequently appointed as an Advisor to Breakthrough Breast Cancer and has collaborated with many organisations nationally and internationally to further the field of integrative oncology.
In 2008, Dr Kohn was invited to visit and present at M.D Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston, USA on the UK’s activities in integrated cancer care, whilst sharing developments in cancer survivorship. In 2009 she participated in an advanced Cancer Guides Programme, Washington DC, designed to assist patients, their carers and colleagues in treatment options for persons with cancer. She was invited to moderate at the Society for Integrative Oncology’s 6th international conference in New York, Revitalizing Cancer Care: (November 2009) and conducted training visits in cancer ‘survivorship’, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, New York City and the Abramson Cancer Centre, in Philadelphia.
In November 2009, she was appointed by the London Oncology Clinic, to set up and direct a programme of follow-up care. This has been launched in consultation with patients and the LOC team, as the Living Well Programme and is evolving to be a programme of total support beyond treatment itself.
