Care Quality Commission

The CQC is the successor organisation to The Healthcare Commission, and is the independent regulator of health and social care in England.

CQC regulates care provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and voluntary organisations. They aim to make sure better care is provided for everyone - in hospitals, care homes and people's own homes. For more information go to their website

LOC was inspected by the CQC in early 2010, and was awarded a ‘standard met’ rating (the highest level they bestow) on every single category assessed. We were again inspected in early 2011 and were found to meet all the essential standards of quality and safety that were reviewed.
